grants to assist in funding small projects that leave something positive for
future generations of Oregon City residents.

May 15, 2009.

better place. Applicants need not be Oregon City residents, but the project must
be in Oregon City or directly affect Oregon City.

Oregon City 150th Task Force
PO Box 3040, Oregon City, OR 97045.
Or email an application letter to:
OC150info@gmail.com
2) Include
the following elements:
a. Name,
address and contact information for person(s) responsible for completing the

if applicable.

will be involved, and what the cost will be to complete it.
d. Describe
how or why this project will “Leave a Legacy” for future citizens of Oregon
City.
Judging:
Grants will be given to those applicants who convince the judges that their
projects will leave a positive legacy for Oregon City’s future. Applicants will
be notified within 30 days.
Guidelines:
1)
Project must be
located on public property or easily seen or accessed by the public.
2)
It is unlikely that
the judges will award $8,000 to one applicant. However, a very outstanding and
compelling project that truly leaves a legacy for the future would not be denied
full funding. Matching cash is not a requirement; however it is desirable that
projects are augmented by volunteer labor and contributions.
3) 50%
of granted funding will be awarded upon approval. The balance will be paid after
completion of the project. Projects should be complete by the end of 2009 unless
cause for extension is approved by judges.
Project
ideas: Restoring a broken piece of art or a memorial, capturing memories of old
timers, renewing a forgotten piece of a park or other public place, creating
something of use or beauty for a public space or public performance.
