Tagging onto the statewide Take Care of Oregon Day, our version
will be a community action and education day on Saturday, May 16 that
will encourage civic groups, nonprofits, schools, churches, businesses,
youth sports, and neighborhoods to select projects that result in
community improvements, i.e. an ivy-pulling contest with West Linn;
assisting an elderly neighbor with yard work or a painting project;
removing invasive species from a streamside, park or backyard; providing
a shredding service or recycling for electronics; fixing up an athletic
field, etc. |
