Welcome to the home of
Oregon City's celebration of
Oregon's 150th Birthday.
Oregon’s first city has
responded to the statewide call to participate in Oregon’s 150th
birthday, by (1) forming a working committee called the Oregon City 150
Task Force and (2) developing a slate of activities that will parallel
the statewide projects and leave a legacy in Oregon City for citizens of
the next 50 years. We have obtained $27,000 of local grant funding and
we are working on numerous activities and events
(many still in the developmental stages).
Our Vision: that every
civic group, neighborhood organization, school, church and club will
theme some event or activity for Oregon’s Sesquicentennial in 2009. The
state’s theme is: Appreciate the Past, Celebrate the Present, Envision
the Future.
